Lakeview's NMI exists to mobilize the church in mission through prayer, education, giving, and interactive experiences. As you scroll down our page you will be able to see our monthly emphasis.

Our new LINKS missionary family
Dr Mark and Nancy Pitts
LINKS is an acronym for Loving, Interested Nazarenes Knowing and Sharing. While our missionaries do not need to raise their individual support, each missionary or missionary family is assigned to a local church in a program called LINKS. LINKS is a way for everyone to get involved in a ministry of encouraging missionaries.
Nancy has most recently been an associate pastor at Kirkland (WA) and Nampa (ID) First Churches of the Nazarene. Their motto in their American work and in this new assignment is that the most important geography is the center of God's will.

OUR MONTHLY EMPHASIS:
January is VOLUNTEER MINISTRIES month
The Church of the Nazarene offers many opportunities for volunteering. In fact, the Church of the Nazarene is the second-largest of all the volunteer sending agencies in the United States. Thousands of people of all ages volunteer their time and talents for missions around the world. Lakeview is very involved in volunteer missionary ministries. You can learn more about volunteer opportunities each Sunday morning during our "Missions Moment" and by clicking on this links:
FEBRUARY is ALBASTER OFFERING emphasis month
Twice a year we have an Alabaster Offering March at Lakeview. The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. It gives a sense of permanence, the attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots." Eighty percent of the money is used in world mission areas, and twenty percent goes to multicultural congregations in the United States and Canada. Alabaster funds help provide land for most Work & Witness projects. The entire offering goes toward the construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries and national workers. To view photos and read more about the Alabaster Offering just click on the ALABASTER OFFERING link!
March is EASTER OFFERING for World Evangelism month
Missions in the Church of the Nazarene is a large enterprise. To accomplish the Great Commission—spreading the gospel and the message of holiness around the world—requires money. The EASTER OFFERING is one way we raise that money for missions.

June is WORLD EVANGELISM BROADCAST month
World Mission Broadcast Offering
The annual World Mission Broadcast Offering provides resources to reach millions around the world for Christ via broadcast media, especially radio. Received in June each year, the World Mission Broadcast Offering provides funding for program production, airtime, and follow-up materials. Holiness programming, delivered by radio, television and the Internet, reaches around the world with the message of Jesus and his redeeming love and helps to disciple those who respond.

AUGUST is LINKS emphasis month
During the month of Augustr we emphasize our LINKS ministry.
LINKS stands for "Loving, Interested Nazarenes, Knowing and Sharing."
The LINKS program of the Church of the Nazarene is a network of personal connections between missionaries and Nazarenes around the world. Missionaries are assigned to districts and, then on the district level, connected to local churches. This gives each church an opportunity to become personally acquainted with the missionary family and their field of service. Typically, churches send packages, cash gifts, cards, and other remembrances to their LINKS missionaries.
You can learn more about this vital ministry to missionary families by clicking the LINKS link!

Good "Stuff" We've Done:
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes someone living who has served or is serving the church. Money is sent to the Missionary Health Care fund in the name of the recipient. Missionary Health Care (MHC) is an opportunity to help with the health care costs of Nazarene missionaries. MHC allows missionaries to focus on their work without raising funds to pay for medical care.
