Servant Ministry

Lakeview's Servant Ministry is showing God's love in practical ways - with no strings attached. We perform simple acts of service for people, and our main goal is for people to understand we did it to give them a bit of God's love. It's our method of reaching the lost throughout our community.
For instance, one day we held a free car wash; on another we handed out cold sodas for free in area parks. With each of these acts of service, we have also given recipients a small card that tells them this really was free! God's love is given to us for free, and we want to share it with them. Once in a while, a conversation opens up, but not always.

Servant Ministry events usually take place on Saturday mornings or early afternoon and last about two hours. An event is scheduled once every three to four weeks.
Future planned events are things like umbrella escorts at stores to help people get to their cars in the rain, grocery bag loading assistance, lawn care, leaf raking, and the giving away of new batteries for smoke detectors.
